What’s all this got to do with me? ~The Empath

By Uncategorized

Yeah…I hear you! “Ok Manna, this box is beautiful and fun. I love crystals, books and OMG a crystal grid too! Glorious salts, delicious teas and this mug is my jam. But WTH does it have to do with being an Empath…precisely?”

I got you boo….

First of all, I feel you. I know what you’re feeling! But you know that. You know what I am feeling too. Seriously LOL over here! Just like you wondering if everyone around you thinks you are crazy; I had that thought typing those sentences. You know exactly what I mean!

I am wondering however, if you know how not alone you are? Do you know that 20% of the population is Highly Sensitive? That is what the experts say. I would place a large wager to bet the number is higher. Among that 20% is a huge spectrum of sensitivity. We are all alike yet so different in our experience. So how do we cope?

There may be 100 answers to that question! We have all heard the “put a bubble of protection around yourself” antidotes too many times. While that most definitely is an answer with validity it is not a long-term solution. I am sorry to say my friends; There is no magical pill.

What?? So why are we even here?

Remember. I got you boo! Are you ready for the answer??

Drum roll……Self-care is THE answer. Now, I know you have heard this antidote too many times as well. That is why here at EmBox we are going to be breaking down what exactly Self-care means and how to easily implement it into your everyday life. Self-care is not just a feeling or single bubble bath. It is a conscious decision to prioritize yourself. It is……a million little things.

As Empaths and Highly Sensitive People, our neurological systems are extremely sensitive. The filters other people have just don’t work the same for us and we are left in a state of sensory overload. The culture we live in only makes this worse leaving us exhausted and emotional.

When we are loved and well cared for, we are better able to filter the worlds effect on our lives. Practicing self-care helps to balance our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

  • Sympathetic nervous system – governs fight or flight response, adrenaline and the stress hormone cortisol
  • Parasympathetic nervous system – regulates our ability to slow down and replenish

When our nervous systems are balanced and in homeostasis, we are better able to filter the things that would otherwise leave us in a puddle.

Self-care is a subject all on its own which we will break down and tackle in our next EmBlog. For now, I want you to know the act of self-care can be so many things and in essence touches all of your chakra’s, all of the universal needs and every facet of your life. It is a way of living that brings peace and harmony. Here at EmBox we want to show you how to start living this in very simple ways and hold your hand down this beautiful and magical path.

In September 2021, we will practice self-care by way of creativity, relaxation and raising vibrations. Make a cup of Mystical Cottage Tea Blend in your Lotus Mug that reminds you to “let that shit go.” Carry your warm blissful mug (and The Crystal Code book if bath time reading is your joy) to your running hot bath and drop those Mystical Cottage Bath Salts in. Stop….take a minute to take this moment in. Smell the smells. Feel the warmth. Place your intention. Embrace loving yourself in this moment.  After bath time take a moment with The Crystal Code in combination with your Flower of Life Crystal Grid and precious bag of gemstones to get creative. Page 77 will guide you on how to make a crystal grid. Check out the gemstone meanings and uses in our September guide as well. Let go and bring out your inner child while having fun! This is an activity you can use over and over again. Add crystals you already have and change the intentions and vibration of your grid anytime you desire. Love on yourself and your sacral chakra by bringing out your creative side! Self-care is so crucial and easier to incorporate into our daily lives than we think. Fill your cup. Let it run over.

Peace,

“Manna”
